Daum Gallery was founded by Taylor Daum, a local Dallas artist who seeks to create an approachable & welcoming gallery experience.
Taylor's mission is to bring the community together with an eclectic event schedule, and to create a gorgeous setting to display and sell works created by local Dallas artists.
MISSION & VISION
Daum Gallery was founded in 2022 with a simple belief: collecting original art should feel exciting, welcoming, and accessible to everyone. From day one, we've challenged the traditional gallery experience by creating a vibrant space free from the pretentiousness that can often make the art world feel intimidating. Whether you're a seasoned collector or purchasing your very first piece, our goal is to make discovering local art an experience you'll want to come back to again and again.
In April 2026, Daum Gallery partnered with Scooped in Dallas to launch Eye Candy, a high energy, pop up style art exhibition celebrating the incredible talent of local DFW artists. Held four times each year, Eye Candy transforms the gallery into a colorful, salon style installation featuring hundreds of original works at approachable price points.
The response has been extraordinary. Since launching Eye Candy in April 2026, we've sold more than 500 pieces of original artwork and helped hundreds of collectors discover the joy of buying directly from local artists.
At Daum Gallery and Eye Candy, our mission is simple: champion local artists, make original art accessible, and prove that collecting art can be just as fun as it is meaningful.
“I want to help make the Dallas Design District the new hot-spot in town. My mission is rooted in passion for the arts & I want Daum Gallery to help bring the entire community together. I hope to eventually partner with neighboring galleries, retailers & restaurants to pioneer a First Friday movement, where we all open our doors & bring in food trucks, live bands & invite the masses to come out & celebrate life & community.”
MEET TAYLOR DAUM
Taylor Daum is an award-winning Dallas-based artist with a passion for creating beautiful artworks and experiences. She received her BA in Art History from The University of Kansas in 2009 and went on to establish a flourishing marketing career in Denver, CO.
During her career in marketing, Taylor never stopped painting, and continued to show her work throughout Denver. When the pandemic hit, she was furloughed and took that opportunity to lean into her art. Quickly, the income from her art sales outpaced the income she had been earning at her corporate job, so when she was asked to return to work, she declined the offer, dove into art, and has never looked back!
Taylor moved back to Dallas in 2021 and since then, her art career has accelerated to new heights. In 2022, 15 of her paintings were published in Under The Gum Tree and she was named a Rising Star by Dallas Voyager. Taylor won the 2022 Introspective Art Competition and was offered gallery representation by several Dallas-based galleries. Taylor produced, promoted, and exhibited at pop-up shows including Dallas Artists Unite and Yam Glam, and participated in art fairs including Cedars Open Studios and the November Saatchi Other Art Fair. Her artwork remains on display throughout town at upscale apartment complexes and office buildings. Taylor’s passion can be seen in her artwork and attention to detail. Her latest works will be available to the public at Daum Gallery in April.
